At Cimple, an Upside Venture, we are at an exciting point in our growth and we are now looking for a Head of Sales to give the business an injection of pace as we hit a critical period of growth. We’re looking for an experienced sales professional who has both enterprise and small tech business experience. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and measuring the success of those plans.

Cimple is a new marketplace solution aiming to improve how Governments and businesses work together. Our target is to drive savings for the Government and create value for Small & Medium Businesses globally enabling vast social impacts to be achieved out of c.£280bn in the UK, €2tn in Europe and $13tn globally that Governments spend. Government procurement will never be the same again!

Our team has been developing in stealth over the last 24 months and are now looking to expand both technical and commercial roles with our relaunch this year. Some of our core beliefs we are building to are:

  • Deliver data-led experiences not work-flow led experiences
  • In design develop solutions that are beautifully simple and simply beautiful
  • Focus on enabling social value creation across all stakeholders

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly scaling team in a lead role with extensive room for personal growth as the business moves towards its next investment round,

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing others involved in sales
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Requirements:

  • Successful previous experience in a senior sales role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience in a Public Sector/Government sales role (and therefore a clear understanding of Government buyers) is preferred but not essential
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels and for all stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to create hype around a new product once launched and to convert a sustainable pipeline of new business with low churn rates
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
